South Bank Corporation today, during National Reconciliation Week 2022, proudly announces the commissioning of an impressive and meaningful First Nations public artwork as part of our soon to be refurbished Central Cafes grab-n-go food precinct in the Parklands.
This project is part of the Corporation’s journey to strengthen our connections with First Nations communities and peoples, and create experiences at South Bank that celebrate First Nations culture.
The artwork will be a collaboration between talented local Indigenous artists Stephen Hogarth and Silvia Jones-Terare and celebrate some of the local flora and fauna, the river and waterways.
We look forward to working with Stephen and Silvia as they create this artwork and share their story and connection to place with the people of Brisbane.
