Streets Beach will reopen in mid-June following essential maintenance activities and investigations into water loss.
The much-loved lagoon is more than 30 years old and welcomes hundreds of thousands of swimmers each year. Just like any other pool, regular works are needed to keep it running at its best.
We love seeing people make the most of Brisbane’s sunshine in the water and on the sand, so our team works hard to ensure Streets Beach is open for as much of the year as possible.
As Streets Beach continues to age, you may see us giving the lagoon some extra attention and care at times, which could require some more closures.
As soon as a date for reopening Streets Beach is confirmed, we’ll share updates via our website and social media channels.
Our Boat Pool and Aquativity water play area will close in mid-July, following the school holidays, for annual maintenance works. Streets Beach will remain open during this time for visitors to make a splash!
